COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women's Basketball (23-6, 11-5) dropped its regular season finale at No. 17 Texas A&M, 82-63. Mizzou finished the regular season tied for fourth overall in the SEC standings. The Tigers secured the No. 6-seed in the upcoming SEC Tournament, receiving a single bye. In Sunday's loss, junior Sophie Cunningham led Mizzou with 19 points behind 7-of-11 shooting and five 3-pointers. She's now scored in double figures 26 times in 28 games. Redshirt senior Jordan Frericks reached double figures for the seventh consecutive game, scoring 12 points. Junior Cierra Porter added 11 points and nine rebounds. The loss snapped Mizzou's six-game winning streak, its longest streak in league play since 1989-90.
Turning Point
Leading by three heading into the second quarter, Texas A&M put together a 20-3 run to surge in front 41-21. The Tigers suffered a scoring drought that spanned more than five minutes of gameclock and the Aggies capitalized to build a significant advantage. Texas A&M led by as many as 16 for the remainder of the game.
Top Tigers
- Sophie Cunningham scored 19 points, reaching double figures for the 11th consecutive contest. She shot 63.6 percent for the game.
- Cunningham added five assists, dishing five dimes for the second time in the past three games.
- Frericks scored in double figures for the seventh straight game. She is averaging 15.9 points per game in the span.
- Porter chipped in 11 points and corralled nine rebounds, her most boards in a contest since Feb. 8 vs. Kentucky.

- Mizzou finished the regular season with 23 wins, its most wins in a single campaign since 1983-84.
- Sunday marked just the third time all season in which an opponent shot a higher field goal percentage than Mizzou.
- Following Thursday's performance, Cunningham is shooting 56.1 percent from the field, 47.5 percent from beyond the arc and 83.7 percent from the free throw line. She is the only player in the nation shooting that well in all three categories.

Mizzou now turns to the SEC Tournament, which will take place this week at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. Mizzou earned the No. 6-seed and will face the winner of No. 11-seed Florida vs. No. 14-seed Ole Miss on Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on the SEC Network.
