• Made four appearances out of the bullpen as a freshman, posting a 4.91 ERA over 3.2 innings.
• Allowed two earned runs on five hits and struck out five of 16 batters faced.
• Made his collegiate debut against La Salle (3/10) and tossed a shutout inning, surrendering a hit while striking out a batter.
• Pitched a shutout inning vs. Arkansas State (3/20) while striking out two without a hit.
• Had a shutout inning vs. SIU-Edwardsville (4/4) and did not allow a hit.
• The only outing during which he allowed runs was against Missouri State (4/10) when he was tagged with two earned runs on four hits over 0.2 innings.

BEFORE MIZZOU

• Had a standout career under head coach Rodney Hernandez at William B. Travis High School
• During his senior season, WBTHS went 32-6 while he went 11-1 on the mound with a 0.87 ERA and 114 strikeouts
• He also hit .360 with five home runs and 35 RBI
• Named a Top-10 High School Recruit in 2017 by the Houston Chronicle
• Earned First Team All-District in both 2015 and 2017
• Awarded Texas Prep Baseball First-Team All-State, Academic All- State in 2017
• Selected to Houston Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Team in 2017
• Earned Perfect Game First-Team Texas in 2017
• Awarded Texas Baseball Writers Third Team All-State in 2017
• Selected High School MVP and Pitcher of the Year in 2017
• Lead WBTHS to State quarterfinals, area and division championships in 2017
• Guided WBTHS to District championship and Bi-District championship in both 2016 and 2017
• Named District Newcomer of the Year, All-Greater Houston All-Star Team, and First Team Fort Bend County in 2015
• Named both High School Pitcher of the Year and High School Hitter of the Year in 2015
• Received Academic All-District and Perfect Game All-Star in 2015
