Lundin and Mierl Named All-America Scholars

Senior Jack Lundin and junior Trevor Mierl of the Missouri men's golf program were honored for their work off the course on Thursday, both earning Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.

To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be at least a sophomore, participate in 50% of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.

Named the program's fifth Academic All-American earlier in the summer, Lundin enjoyed one of the best seasons in program history. Also a second-team PING All-American and first-team All-SEC honoree, he finished as the nation's No. 22 ranked golfer. He won two individual titles as a senior with seven top-five finishes, posting a 69.69 overall stroke average.

Lundin earned the All-America Scholar accolade for the second time during his career, also collecting the honor in 2022-23.

In his first season with the Tigers, Mierl finished his junior campaign with a 74.09 stroke average. He posted a season-best five-under at the Maui Jim Invitational at Legend Trail, placing 13th overall. The junior carded five rounds under par in total during the 2023-24 campaign.

Lundin and Mierl helped the Tigers earn their third-straight bid to an NCAA Championship for the first time in school history this season, advancing to the Stanford regional to cap the 2023-24 campaign.
