FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The No. 15 University of Missouri gymnastics team pulled off its best performance in program history, defeating No. 17 Arkansas, 197.850-196.650. The Tigers opened the meet with their program-best performance on the opening rotation and closed out the meet with another program-best on beam.
In the past six days the Tigers have tied the vault program record, set a new program record on bars, set a new program record on beam, tied the second-best floor record and set a new program-high score.
BARS
Missouri started its outing with the bars rotation, led by Celestine in the top half of the lineup with an event-high 9.925.
Senior Sienna Schreiber (9.900), graduate student Alisa Sheremeta (9.850), Sophomore Jocelyn Moore (9.800) and junior Kyra Burns (9.875) additionally partook in the event. Helen Hu finished with a nearly flawless outing with a 9.900. The Tigers finished their first rotation with a 49.450, setting a program record in the event.
VAULT
The Tigers' vault rotation scored a collective 49.325 with Moore leading the charge once again scoring 9.975.
Freshman Addison Lawrence (9.750), graduate student Hannah McCrary (9.800), Schreiber (9.850), Celestine with a season-high (9.950) and sophomore Grace Anne Davis (9.775) also competed in the rotation.
The Tigers bars and vault rotations collectively scored 98.775 the highest in program history.
FLOOR
To open Mizzou's floor rotation, Schreiber began with a score of 9.850. Moore held the team's high score for the rotation with a 9.975
Sophomore Alonna Kratzer (9.900), McCrary (9.875), Sheremeta (9.925), and Clestestine (9.650) all contributed to the Tiger floor rotation team score of 49.525.
BEAM
In the final rotation, Lawrence and Schreiber led the Tigers with a 9.925 finish. McCrary, Sheremeta and Hu followed suit with a 9.900. Davis rounded out the rotation with a 9.875.
Missouri scored a 49.550, setting a new beam program-high score - for the final team score of 197.850 to secure the win against Arkansas.
