LINCOLN, Neb. – Freshman Helen Hu (Chicago, Ill.) won three titles as the No. 16 Mizzou gymnastics team earned a 196.450-195.195.925 win over No. 19 Nebraska Saturday night in Lincoln, Neb.
Hu won the all-around, bars and beam titles against the Huskers to up her team-leading season win total to 15. She went a career-best 39.525 in the all-around, 9.95 on beam, 9.9 on bars, a personal-best 9.875 on vault and 9.8 on floor.
BARS
Hu claimed her fifth bars title of the season to help Mizzou go 48.975 to open the meet. She tied for the crown with a 9.9, her fifth score of 9.9 or better on the event this year. Redshirt senior Morgan Porter (Overland, Mo.) claimed a 9.85 and sophomore Alisa Sheremeta (Circleville, N.Y.) and freshman Sienna Schreiber (Cumming, Ga.) both added 9.85s.
VAULT
Mizzou stuck five vault in the second rotation as the squad tallied a season-best 39.325, which stands as the sixth-best total on the event in program history. Junior Gabrielle Gottula (Spring, Texas) and freshman Kambrie Brandt (Adkins, Texas) both led the way with career-best 9.9s, and Hu also notched a personal-best with a 9.875. Schreiber earned a 9.85 and sophomore Hannah McCrary (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) added a 9.8.
FLOOR
A 49.125 on floor propelled Mizzou to a 147.425-146.350 lead with one rotation left. Identical 9.85s from McCrary and Schreiber led the way for the Tigers, while Porter earned a 9.825 and Sheremeta and Hu both went 9.8.
BEAM
Hu concluded the night with a 9.95 on beam, her ninth score of 9.9 or better on the apparatus this season, which ties her for Mizzou's individual single-season record for 9.9s on one event in a year. Sheremeta had a strong performance on beam as well, earning a 9.8, and Gottula and Schreiber claimed 9.775s.

"That was a good road score for us. We've been working really hard on not letting tough meets impact our energy or our effort and I thought we did a very good job. It was a tough environment tonight quite honestly and I think our team did a very admirable job overcoming that. We've been working really hard on sticks this last week, that was something we were not pleased with the last couple of weekends. Between vault, bars and beam we stuck 12 out of 18, so I'm really pleased with that. Especially on vault, we stuck five, that was really cool."
