No. 15/13 @MizzouSwimDive Earns Dual Sweep Over Drury

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 15/13 Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept Drury Friday evening at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The Tiger women earned a 145-83 win over the Panthers, while the men defeated the visitors 139-92.

Juniors Hunter Fritter (Houston, Texas) and Kira Zubar (Chaska, Minnesota) each claimed two event wins to lead the Tigers. Fritter earned top honors on the 1-meter springboard (327.90) and platform (312.15), while Zubar swept the 500 free (4:58.20) and 1,000 free (10:12.81) events.

Missouri opened the meet with a pair of wins in the 400 medley relays. The women's A team of junior Hannah Stevens (Lexington, Ohio), senior Katharine Ross (Des Moines, Iowa), junior Erin Metzger-Seymour (Westminster, Colorado) and junior Rachel Hayden (Indianapolis, Indiana) claimed the win in 3:43.56 and the men's team of freshman Daniel Hein (Sycamore, Illinois), senior Fabian Schwingenschlogl (Nuremberg, Germany), senior Andrew Sansoucie (Wentzville, Missouri) and senior Michael Chadwick (Charlotte, North Carolina) clocked a 3:13.12 to place first.

Sophomore Aurore Jacolin (Toulouse, France) and Giovanny Lima (Sao Paulo, Brazil) each claimed wins in the 200 free, as Jacolin won the women's race in 1:52.32 and Lima earned the first victory of his Tiger career in a time of 1:39.54.

In addition to Fritter's wins in the diving well, the Tiger women picked up a pair of event titles against the Panthers. Redshirt senior Lauren Reedy (Rochester Hills, Michigan) earned top honors on 3-meter with a score of 375.00 and junior Madeline McKernan (Montgomery, Texas) won the platform competition after a season-high tally of 271.95.

The Tigers also earned men's and women's sweeps in both the 200 fly and 200 back events. In the 200 fly, junior Sharli Brady (Burlington, Kentucky) and freshman Micah Slaton (Austin, Texas) claimed wins with times of 2:00.82 and 1:47.99, respectively. Stevens touched first in the women's 200 back in 1:59.80 and senior Carter Griffin (Parker, Colorado) went 1:46.78 on the men's side to earn the victory.

Additional winners for Mizzou were Chadwick in the 50 free (19.90) and freshman Nick Alexander (Crestwood, Missouri) in the 200 IM (1:48.78).

The Tigers return to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 21 when the teams host Missouri State on Senior Day at 2 p.m. CT at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
