COLUMBIA, Mo. - Friday morning featured a shorter practice at #MIZCamp as the Tigers were coming off of the second scrimmage of fall camp on Thursday. The session featured a strong showing by the quarterbacks and receivers in 1-on-1 drills while the secondary and defensive line rebounded with big plays during the 11-on-11 portion. Below are some highlights:

  • QB Maty Mauk threw TDs to WRs Nate Brown, Emanuel Hall and Ray Wingo during 1-on-1 passing drills. He lofted accurate passes across the middle and into the back corner of the end zone for the scores. Brown also dove to catch a pass across the middle of the defense during a short yardage situation.
  • DB Anthony Sherrils displayed lockdown coverage during the 1-on-1 drills as he prevented an opposing receiver from getting any separation, prompting a pass to be thrown away.
  • C Evan Boehm and DL Josh Augusta had an impressive showdown in 1-on-1 offensive vs. defensive line drills as both players worked hard to establish position, drawing a spirited response from both sides of the ball looking on.
  • DE Charles Harris continued his strong camp with a sack following a speed rush during 11-on-11.
  • DL Tyler Hanneke used a quick and efficient swim move to reach the replica QB during 1-on-1 pass rushing drills.
  • QB Eddie Printz threw a TD on a fade pass to WR Thomas Richard, who elevated over a defensive back holding close coverage to catch the ball at its highest point.
  • TE Jason Reese gained 15 yards after the catch on a rollout pass from Printz during the fourth quarter simulation.

Note: Head coach Gary Pinkel met with the media following Friday's practice. Below is sound from the Mizzou coach.
