COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou tennis team fell to Drake, 4-3, Sunday night at the Green Tennis Center. The Tigers fell to 5-13 on the season, while the Bulldogs improved to 9-2.

In doubles, Mizzou's top team of Gaytan-Leach and Stuhlmann recorded an easy 8-2 win over Mariel Ante and Lea Kozulic. Drake responded with an 8-2 win of its own at No. 2 as Nell Boyd and Jordan Eggleston defeated Rhyner and Spearman. The doubles point came down to the No. 3 match, where Maddie Johnson and Klavdija Rebol prevailed over Hine and Dong, 8-7, for a 1-0 Drake advantage.

The Tigers took a quick 2-1 lead after victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. At No. 1, Gaytan-Leach cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Rebol. Hine followed that up with a 6-1, 6-2 win of her own against Ante at No. 2 singles.

Drake's Johnson notched a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win over Stuhlmann at No. 4 singles to tie the match at 2-2.

A win from Rhyner at No. 4 singles gave Missouri a 3-2 edge in the team score. The sophomore earned a hard-fought 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Jordan Eggleston for a 3-2 Tiger advantage.

Drake battled back to win matches at No. 5 and 6 singles to take the 4-3 victory. At No. 6, Lea Kozulic posted a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 win over Dong. The match came down to No. 5 singles, where Mizzou's Spearman fought back to win set two but fell to Boyd, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.

Missouri hits the road to face Texas A&M on Sunday, March 23 at Noon, before a match against Rice on Tuesday, March 25 at 1 p.m.
