• The win improved Mizzou's consecutive non-conference home game win streak to 80, dating back to early in the 2005-06 season.

It marked the second time this year the foursome of junior Jabari Brown (15), senior Earnest Ross (12), junior Jordan Clarkson (12) and senior Tony Criswell (10) all scored at least 10 points in a game. They also accomplished the feat against Hawaii on Nov. 16.
• The Tigers recorded seven blocks against Western Michigan to tie the team's season high. The squad also swatted away seven shots against Hawaii.
• Freshman Johnathan Williams III posted four of Mizzou's seven blocks to set a new career high. His previous best was three, which he recorded against Gardner-Webb on Nov. 23. Williams' four blocks also stands as an individual season high for the Tigers.
• Brown and Clarkson both reached double figures in scoring for the 10th time in 10 games so far this season. Ross reached the mark for the eighth time, while Criswell scored at least 10 points for the second time in eight games.
• Western Michigan's Shayne Whittington came into the contest shooting 52.2 percent (35-67) from the field this season. the Tigers held him to just 31.6 (6-19) from the floor in the game.
