COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri basketball team made 14 three-pointers to propel the team ran past Truman State University 87-48 in exhibition play Wednesday night at Mizzou Arena.

The Tigers led 45-16 at the half, thanks in part to early runs of 20-0 14-2 after the game was tied at 6-6. Mizzou continued to build its lead to as many as 41 in the second half.

Senior Marcus Denmon led four Tigers in double figures with 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting from behind the arc. Junior Michael Dixon scored 15 points and dished out a game high eight assists, senior Matt Pressey notched 12 points and senior Ricardo Ratliffe added 10 points and seven boards. Additionally, redshirt freshman Kadeem Green grabbed a game high 11 rebounds.

For the second preseason game in a row, Missouri shot the ball well, as the squad hit on 51.6 percent of its shots from the field and 45.2 percent of its three-point attempts. The Tigers had an impressive 44-23 rebounding advantage and dished out 20 assists to just nine turnovers.

Truman State was led by Isaac Gardner, who scored 20 points.

Missouri closes out exhibition action on Monday, Nov. 7 as the Tigers host Central Missouri at 7 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
