Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri men's swimming and diving team defeated Missouri State University in a Thursday night meet by a score of 183-114.

In the 200 yard medley relay, the Tigers took the first and second spots with the relay team of Ryan Sellers, Igor Kozlovskij, Neil O'Halloran, and Remom Melo taking the first place spot with the time 1:30.30 while the relay team of John Higgins, Michael Lopresti, Mack Darragh, and Mark Conroy took second with a time of 1:33.26.

In the men's 1000 yard freestyle event, Eegan Groome took first with a time of 9:27.04 and Andrew Phillips placed second with a time of 9:29.43. In the 100 yard backstroke, Sellers placed first with a time of 49.84, with Higgins notching a time of 50.05 for second. In the 100 yard breast, Mizzou took the top three spots with Kozlovskij recording a time of 56.64 for first, Conroy placing second with a time of 56.81, and Lopresti coming in third with a time of 58.24.

In the 200 yard fly event O'Halloran placed first with a time of 1:48.91 while Darragh came in second with a time of 1:49.46. In the 200 yard back, Higgins recorded a time of 1:49.98 for first place and in the 500 yard free, Groome took the first place spot with a time of 4:31.18.

Tigers took the top three spots in the 200 yard breast event with Kozlovskij placing first with a time of 2:01.58, Griffin Peavey coming in second with a time of 2:06.10, and Lopresti coming in third with a time of 2:07.83. O'Halloran placed first in the 100 yard fly with a time of 48.20, meeting the NCAA Qualifying B-Standard, and Darragh took the first spot in the 400 yard IM with a time of 3:57.99.

In diving, the Tigers also experience success with Mitch Harris taking first place in the one meter diving event with 282.23 points. In the 3 meter diving event, Harris took the second place spot with 246.83 points.
