COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri Women's gymnastics team has been recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) for its scholastic accomplishments. Together the Tigers accumulated a 3.4992 overall grade point average, the seventh highest in the nation. Mizzou is the highest scoring team to qualify for the 2010 NCAA Championships. Mizzou finished the season with a 12th place athletic ranking overall and when combining athletic and academic scores, Missouri finished second nationally to only Utah.

Five Tiger gymnasts finished the academic year with GPAs of 3.67 or above earning Scholastic All-America honors. Becky Scholle earned a team-high 3.93 studying business administration. Victoria Howard finished the year holding a 3.76 GPA studying business, while Allison Heizelman finished with a 3.73 average. An undeclared major, Sandra Ostad earned a 3.68, while Brooke Boehmer notched a 3.67 average for the 2009-2010 academic year.

The NACGC/W is a national association for women's collegiate gymnastics coaches, which seeks to provide the best possible experience for student-athletes. Working with the NCAA and USA Gymnastics, the association actively develops and manages the sport of women's gymnastics at the national collegiate level.
