• The punting game continued to quietly shine against Colorado, as senior punter Matt Grabner downed his first punt of the game at the Colorado 2-yard line and junior Trey Barrow downed his first at the 1-yard line. Of Grabner's 20 punts this season, 8 have been inside the 20-yard line.
• The Mizzou defense notched its second safety of the year with 7:52 remaining in the 1st quarter, as pressure forced Colorado quarterback Tyler Hansen into an intentional grounding penalty in the endzone.
• Jerrell Jackson's 30-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter was his second and longest of the season. He had previously scored on a 24-yard reception against McNeese State.
• Terrell Resonno blocked a 39-yard field goal attempt by Colorado midway through the second quarter. It was his first blocked field goal and the first of the season for the team. Mizzou also blocked a punt in the first quarter, thanks to the hustle of tight end Eric Waters.
• The Tigers' 97-yard scoring drive, capped off by a 10-yard touchdown reception by tight end Michael Egnew, marked the longest scoring drive of the year for the Mizzou offense. The previous long was a 94-yard drive against Miami of Ohio in Week 4.
• Mizzou ended the second half up 19-0. In the past five years against Colorado, the aggregate halftime score has been 138-19; in the last three, it has been 86-3.
• James Franklin had a career game after replacing Blaine Gabbert early in the fourth quarter. His 34-yard rush for a first down marked the longest of his career (his previous was a 10-yard rush against McNeese State). He also notched his first career passing touchdown with a 7-yard pass to Michael Egnew to put the Tigers up 26-0 with 9:16 remaining in the game.
• The Mizzou defense continued their trend of third quarter success, and is now one of only two defenses in college football this year that has yet to allow a touchdown in the third quarter (Iowa is the other, with a bye this week).
• Redshirt sophomore back Kip Edwards notched his first interception of the year (and second of his career) on a snagged pass from Colorado quarterback Cody Hawkins in the fourth quarter. His interception was the ninth of the year for the Tigers.
