COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Tigers remain in the lead after day two of the Mizzou Tiger Invite over Drury University. Mizzou has 807.5 points at the end of the day while Drury has 630 points in second and Southern Illinois-Carbondale with 422 points in third.

"I was very pleased with the way the guys came out today and competed," Tiger coach Brian Hoffer said. "A lot of our young guys showed a wealth of potential today, and it's always good to see that."

The men's 200 medley relay team of Jan Konarzewski, Joe Hladik, Anders Melin and Jordan Hawley continued their relay success on Saturday, winning the event in 1:30.16. The team of John Higgins, Michael Lopresti, Scott Martin and Matt Burns finished fourth in 1:33.54.

The diving team swept the top three spots in the 3-meter dive, with Greg DeStephen winning with 420.75 points, Dante Jones finishing second with 365.15 points and Dallas Becerra taking third with 332.35 points.

The 800 free relay group of Ryan and Cameron Sellers, Hendricks and Yaniv Schnaider finished second in the last race of the day, but hit the "B" cut mark with their time of 6:41.34.

Konarzewski won the first individual title for the men's squad by winning the 100 back, clocking in at 48.19 seconds, while five Tigers occupied the spots from third to seventh place.

Konarzewski, Melin and Hawley finished in second, third and fourth in the 100 fly, finishing in 49.01, 49.64 and 49.78 seconds respectively. Martin Scott rounded out the "A" final in eighth place clocking in at 50.80 seconds.

Yaniv Shnaider finished second in the 400 IM finishing in 3:52.73, breaking a meet record in the process. Hladik won the 100 breast in 56.32 seconds, while Lopresti finished eighth in 57.69 seconds.

Jeff Hendricks took third in the 200 free race in 1:39.89, while Cameron Sellers took sixth in 1:41.27.

The team will complete the Mizzou Invite tomorrow at 10 a.m.
