COLUMBIA, Mo. - - No. 14 Missouri finished a three-game sweep of Nebraska with a 7-3 victory on Sunday at Taylor Stadium. It was MU's first three-game sweep of the Huskers since 1996.

The Tigers conclude the regular season with a 37-17 record and a 16-11 mark in the Big 12 Conference. They will be the fourth seed in the Big 12 Conference Championship, which begins on Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

After Nebraska took the early lead on Sunday with a run in the top of the second, the Tigers put up three in the bottom of the inning, on three singles and three walks. Junior Steve Gray and sophomore Greg Folgia each had RBI base hits in the second.

The Huskers scored once in the top of the fourth and Mizzou again answered with two runs in their half of the inning, as junior Kyle Mach scored when junior Ryan Lollis grounded out and Folgia crossed the plate on a single from sophomore Aaron Senne.

Mizzou again answered a NU run in the top of the sixth by scoring twice in the bottom of the inning, as both runners scoring on Folgia's fourth home run of the season.

Folgia was 3-for-5 on the day, with three RBI and two runs scored. Senne and freshman Andrew Thigpen each had two hits in the game.

Freshman Nick Tepesch started for the first time at Missouri, taking a no decision after allowing just two runs, only one of which was earned, in 3.2 innings. Junior Rick Zagone picked up the win and sophomore Kyle Gibson took the save, his second of the year.

The schedule for the Big 12 Championship will be released later tonight.
