The University of Missouri softball team, coming of an NCAA regional tournament appearance and a 19th place ranking in the final polls of the 2007 season, will open its fall schedule this Saturday, Sept. 29, with a doubleheader beginning at Noon central time on University Field. Both games are open to the public and admission is free.

Missouri begins the afternoon with a contest against Jefferson County Community College, followed by a game against Butler County Community College at approximately 2 p.m.

The back-to-back games will allow fans their first glimpse of Missouri's 21-member squad featuring 10 newcomers.
