Columbia, Mo. - Junior forward Marshall Brown and freshman guard Keon Lawrence spent part of their morning on Feb. 9 reading to students at Cedar Ridge Elementary School in Columbia.

A junior from Austin, Texas, Brown lists teaching as one of his career aspirations and spent the fall semester working in a child development lab, mentoring elementary-aged children.

A freshman from Newark, N.J., Lawrence has been one of Mizzou's top scorers over the last six games and has made appearances in the starting line-up in back-to-back outings against Iowa State and Kansas.
