Oct. 19, 2006
The 2006 Malibu Regional Champion Missouri Tigers will conclude their Fall 2006 schedule with the annual Fall World Series, which will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday at Taylor Stadium. All games of the best-of-three games intersquad series are free to the public. The Tigers split into two teams for the series. The rosters are below.
Following Friday's series opener, the second game will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday with the third game scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23.
The Tigers are coming off a fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament last spring, as they advanced to the first NCAA Super Regional in school history after claiming the title at the NCAA Malibu Regional. Mizzou is one of just 22 teams in the nation to have advanced to the last four NCAA Tournaments, and one of just two Big 12 Conference teams that can make that claim.
Mizzou returns six position starters and five pitchers from last year's squad. Head Coach Tim Jamieson, who will enter his 13th season as the Tigers' head coach, will begin the 2007 season one win shy of 400 career victories (399-290-2).
The 2007 season will open on Feb. 9. The complete schedule will be finalized and released soon.
