BOULDER, Colo. - Clarence Gilbert scored 22 points, including eight straight Missouri points in the second half, and the Tigers beat Colorado 82-76 on Wednesday night.

Missouri (11-3, 2-0 Big 12) posted its fourth straight victory over Colorado despite shooting only 34 percent. The Buffaloes (10-5, 0-2) managed a meager 31 percent.

Kareem Rush added 14 points and Travon Bryant 12 for the Tigers, and freshman center Arthur Johnson had nine points and 19 rebounds.

Nick Mohr scored 16 points for Colorado before fouling out with 2:10 remaining. Jamahl Mosley had 12 points and 22 rebounds.

Leading 35-32 at halftime, Missouri scored seven straight points early in the second half, capped by Rickey Paulding's desperation 3-pointer which just beat the shot clock, for a 42-34 lead.

In a span of 55 seconds, Gilbert hit a 3-pointer, a 17-foot jumper and another 3-pointer, giving the Tigers their biggest lead of the game, 64-48, with 6:47 left.

Gilbert, overcoming 5-for-20 shooting, later made 6-of-6 free throws, and Colorado got no closer than six points down the stretch.

Rush had nine points and Johnson eight as Missouri took a six-point halftime lead, thanks to a 23-6 flurry midway through the half.

Mohr had a pair of 3-pointers as Colorado jumped out to a 10-4 lead four minutes into the game, but Missouri dominated the next eight minutes. Rush's 3-pointer made it 21-14, and his basket on a goaltending call put the Tigers ahead 27-16 with 7:30 left in the half.

Colorado countered with a 12-4 run, including two 3-pointers by Justin Harbert, to cut the deficit to 31-28.

Mohr had 11 points in the half, during which each team shot 33 percent.
